What is a professional Airbnb co-host?
Due to the size of our property portfolio and the consistent quality of our service, Pass the Keys® was invited to become an official Airbnb co-host in 2018. This exclusive status provided Pass the Keys with a key account manager and direct integration with their systems so that we could dynamically update pricing, report on guest behavior and other key metrics. Worthing and the surrounding towns and villages are host to a wealth of beautiful landscape and history. The area is bordered to the North by the stunning, rolling hills of the South Downs National park, and to the south by the beautiful and historic Sussex coast, attracting a wide variety of different visitors throughout the year.
The impressive scenery, and accessibility of the coastline and surrounding countryside, makes it popular for walking and cycling holidays, and with nature lovers.
The beaches of Shoreham and Littlehampton are cleaner and less busy than nearby Brighton, making them favoured with holidaying families in the summer, who also have Worthing beach and pier when they are looking for something a bit more lively for all ages. The award winning beaches are also popular water sports destinations, attracting kitesurfers, windsurfers, paddle boarders and kayakers.
The rich history of the area draws thousands of tourists each year. Arundel castle alone attracts over 180,000 visitors annually, and the towns of Steyning and Pulborough are steeped in history over 1000 years old.
In Worthing, tourism continues to increase steadily year on year and visitors are well accommodated for, with over 250 restaurants and 26 cafes. Time Out named it as the UKs best Coastal town for 2023.
In addition to tourists, Worthing is a hub for the service industries, in particular financial services, attracting many short term visitors for work and conferencing events.
The whole area is very well connected by train and is a popular base for day trippers to Brighton and even London, offering a more affordable, peaceful and family friendly destination to stay.
The ability to attract a range of different visitors throughout the year, puts the area in high demand for short-term rentals and a great opportunity for hosts!
What drew you to partnering with Pass the Keys?
Pass the Keys stood out to me over other similar companies as they offer the full package when it comes to short term let management, providing complete peace of mind for hosts and guests.
This is reflected in the excellent reviews and the success of the Pass the Keys brand around the UK, making them an industry leader, and something I wanted to be part of.
There is a great team culture at Pass the Keys and they really go the extra distance to provide all the support and tools needed for a franchise to be successful.

As an Airbnb host, providing the right amenities can make a significant difference in your guests' experience and your overall success. Thoughtful, high-quality amenities not only attract more bookings but also lead to better reviews and repeat guests. In this blog post, we’ll explore the essential amenities every Airbnb should offer, and how you can go above and beyond to ensure those 5* reviews and Super Host Status. Essential Amenities for Every Airbnb 1. Comfortable Bedding and Linens: Invest in high-quality mattresses, pillows, and bedding. Comfortable sleep is a top priority for guests, and providing fresh, clean, and cosy linens can significantly enhance their stay.Preferably white linen with colour added with throws and cushions. Mattress protectors and pillow protectors are a must, they should be quality so they do not rustle and disturb guests sleep. 2. Fully Equipped Kitchen: Whether your guests want to cook a full meal or just make a cup of coffee, a well-stocked kitchen is crucial. Include basics like pots, pans, utensils, and appliances (fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle). Guests require the essentials such as coffee, tea, sugar, salt, and cooking oil. Also provide as many of the big appliances as space allows: dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer or washer/dryer. 3. Fast and Reliable Wi-Fi: In today’s connected world, reliable internet access is non-negotiable. Ensure your property has fast, reliable Wi-Fi and provide the network details clearly in your welcome guide, alternatively download a QR code and pop it in a frame for simple access. 4. Clean and Functional Bathroom: A sparkling clean bathroom stocked with essentials like fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toilet paper is a must. Adding a few extra touches like a hairdryer and basic toiletries can make a big difference. 5. Temperature Control: Ensure your guests can stay comfortable all year-round with effective heating and cooling options. Provide clear instructions on how to use these systems. 6. Safety Features: Install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and provide a first aid kit and fire blanket. Clearly display a Fire Action Notice and include emergency contact numbers in your welcome guide. 7. Replacement Light Bulbs and Batteries: Always make sure these are in the property – you don’t want to be called out because the TV remote batteries have run out or the bathroom light bulb needs replacing.
